Defence of doctor Jackson seeks trial delay

LOS ANGELES--Defence counsel for the physician in charge in the death of Michael Jackson asked a judge to delay the trial so that they can prepare for witnesses to support newly appointed.Pastor of Michael j. of the Superior Court did not immediately rule on the oral request made Friday but the lawyers instructed to Dr. Conrad Murray to file a formal request to Sunday afternoon.Pasteur set a hearing for Monday to decide whether, to delay the case two days before the selection of the jury was to resume and a week before the opening of the statements have been planned.Counsel for the defence of Murray Ed Chernoff said Pasteur that the cardiologist based in Houston agreed to a delay.Murray pleaded not guilty of manslaughter.
